Herren Bundesliga Süd
RC Luxembourg 28:05 MRFC
Luxembourg, 6 March 2010, Miles Lowther
After an adventerous start to the day with us slip sliding our way to Luxembrug taking 8 hours to get there we finally arrived to a very cold muddy and mostly snow covered pitch. The game started with Luxemburg putting a lot of pressure on Munich who held them at bay until giving a penalty away after 18 minutes. Munich then in the 23rd minute gave away another penalty making it 6:0 to Luxemburg. Munich then started making advances into the Luxemburg half but unluckely without coming away with any points.Luxemburg returned with a converted try in the 43rd minute making the half time score 13:0. The second half started much the same way as the first half with Munich giving away a penalty in the 57th minute making it 16:0. Jens Seemüller got a yellow card in the 60th minute, which Luxemburg did not take advantage of. Luxemburg then scored a converted try in the 71st minute followed 2 minutes later with another try without conversion to make it 28:0. Munich piled on the pressure and were rewarded with a push over try in the 83rd minute scored by Alan Moughty and the whole scrum. The game ended with Munich loosing 28:5. Munich played a good hard game, never giving up even with a few key players missing.
