The Munich Oktoberfest Sevens

The 32nd International Oktoberfest Sevens Rugby Tournament will take place this year on Saturday, September 25th 2010, from 0900h to 1800h.

The day before (Friday, September 24th) will be the Oktoberfest Golden Oldies Tournament this year in StuSta.

The Oktoberfest 7s has been held annually since 1978 and is held during the middle weekend of the famous two-week beer festival.

The event is a one-day competition with 32 teams competing. After a first round, the tournament is separated into plate and cup competitions.

It is generally a very international affair, attracting teams from all over Europe, and in the past few years also from Australia and the USA.

We operate a very simple "first pay will play" rule, and do not reserve any slots aside for one for last year's winner. We maintain a waiting list when the tournament is fully booked.
